Jamie Lee Curtis shared a never-before-seen photo from her daughter Ruby Guest's wedding to partner Kynthia on the couple's second wedding anniversary.

While reflecting on the day her eldest child, 28, became a married woman, the 65-year-old actress recalled how 'two years ago' on a 'gorgeous' California day, Ruby and Kynthia 'were married in' her backyard 'at a cosplay wedding for the ages.'

'Love, laughter, yummy food and drink and a family uniting and blending and becoming. Happy day. Wife is sweet!' she captioned a photo on Instagram, which showed the then-newlyweds sharing a kiss in front of their guests after saying 'I do.'

Curtis officiated the wedding in a World of Warcraft costume, as the character Jaina Proudmoore while Ruby and Kynthia both dressed as their favorite video game characters.

For the big day, Ruby's look was inspired by the video game series SkullGirls and Kynthia dressed as Elphelt Valentine, a major character in the Guilty Gear series.

Cosplay, a portmanteau of 'costume play', is an activity popular among fans of fantasy and science fiction, where cosplayers dress up as a specific character.

Ruby, who works as a video editor for a gaming personality on YouTube, is known for her love of dressing up having posed with her famous mother at events in costume.

In 2020, Ruby came out as transgender to Jamie and father Christopher, but the actress didn't announce the news until one year later in summer 2021.

During an interview with People later that year, Ruby herself expressed, 'It was scary — just the sheer fact of telling them something about me they didn't know. It was intimidating — but I wasn't worried. They had been so accepting of me my entire life.'

Curtis revealed that after her daughter had come out as trans, the experience as a parent was like 'speaking a new language.'

After Ruby transitioned, Curtis admitted that she, occasionally, would 'slip up' with Ruby's pronouns, but said her daughter was never 'mad' because she was trying her best.

'It's learning new terminology and words. I am new at it. I am not someone who is pretending to know much about it. And I'm going to blow it, I'm going to make mistakes. I would like to try to avoid making big mistakes,' she told People, at the time.

'You still mess up, I’ve messed up today twice. We’re human. But if one person reads this, sees a picture of Ruby and me and says, "I feel free to say this is who I am,’ then it’s worth it."'

In July 2023, while appearing on Morning Joe, the Halloween Ends star talked about her unconditional love for Ruby.

'This life is about love,' Curtis said. 'Being a parent is about love and I love Ruby. Love her. People have said, "You're so great to accept her love." What are you talking about? This is my daughter, this human being has come to me and said, 'This is who I am."'

'And my job is to say, "Welcome home,"' she added. 'I will fight and defend her right to exist to anyone who claims that she doesn't.'
